trick or treat

we are going to lakeland to the farm for halloween!

i am definately making these for the kids. they will love them!

recipe for "spookie brownies"

1 box of brownie mix(and ingredients called for with the mix)

1 can of creamy white frosting

green, pink, and blue food coloring

24 marshmellows

miniture candy coated chocolate baking bits

black decorating gel

1 roll of fruit roll ups(red)

gummy worms

1. make your brownies according to the box

2. cut brownies into 24 peices

3. microwave frosting uncovered on high for 20 seconds or until frosting can be stirred smooth. divide frosting in 3 bowls. 1 for each color.

decorate as directed below using 8 brownies for each spooky halloween character.

FRANKEN-BROWNIES: add 5 drops green food color to frosting in bowl 1. mix well. top each brownie with 1 marshmellow. spoon 1 tbsp green frosting over each marshmellow to coat. decorate with green baking bits for eyes and ears. use black gel for mouths and center of eyes. cut fruit snacks to use for hair.

BOO-BROWNIES: top each brownie with 1 marshmellow. spoon 1 tablespoon of white frosting over each marshmellow to coat. use black gel for eyes and mouth.

SPIDER-BROWNIES: Add 5 drops of pink food color and 3 drops of blue food color to frosting in 1 bowl.; mix well. Top each brownie with 1 marshmellow. Tuck worms candies under each marshmellow for legs. Spoon 1 TBSP purple frosting over each marshmellow to coat. Use orange baking bits for eyes. Use black gel for mouths, centers of eyes and eybrows.
